Exporting the Imprivata Enterprise

You can export all of your enterprise settings to a single file to use later if the need arises for an enterprise restoration.

Before you begin:

  • Decrease the size of the database by deleting audit records. Refer to Managing and Maintaining Audit Records for more information.
  • For a G3 (third generation) Imprivata enterprise, you must export the enterprise from an audit appliance.
  • For a G4 (fourth generation) Imprivata enterprise, you must export the enterprise from a database appliance.

To export the enterprise:

  1. In the Imprivata Appliance Console, go to the System page, then the Operations tab, and click Open export wizard.
  2. Select Encrypt export file to encrypt the export file (recommended), create a password to protect the export file, and then click Start Export.
  3. A progress bar appears that displays each stage of the export process. This process may take a few seconds to several minutes depending on the size of your enterprise.
  4. An encrypted Zip file containing the export files is created. Information including OSC settings, site information, appliance information, and database settings are included in the export file.
  5. When the export file is created, you can download the file. Click Download and then enter your Imprivata Admin Console or Super Administrator credentials.
  6. If your export file is out of date, then you can click Start a new export to export the enterprise again.
